An emotional and a financial investment in yourself.

Committing to art therapy is a choice you make both in and outside of sessions. As an art therapist, I am a partner in your journey, but you are in the driving seat—your freedom to choose is at the center of this work.

Below outlines rates, payment, and cancellation policies so that you can make informed decisions for yourself.

  • Payment is processed at the end of each session.

As part of the intake process for therapy, all clients agree to have a debit/credit card on file for billing which allows for simple, secure, and stress-free processing.

If clients prefer to pay a different way for a particular session, I also accept payment via cash, mobile wallets including: Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Samsung Pay as well as the following debit and credit cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, JCB, and UnionPay.

  • My standard rate is $150 per 50-minute individual session.

To make services as financially accessible as I can, I offer a sliding scale on a needs-based basis.

The rates listed on the scale are based on yearly net household income and calculated to accommodate therapy sessions every other week.

I will provide the scale for review upon request for any potential client.

Existing clients may adjust their current rate if their needs change.

  • Clients are encouraged to give as much notice as possible if a cancellation is necessary in order for the session time to be made available to other clients.

If a cancellation is made less than 24 hours in advance or a client does not show for a session, a late or no-show fee of $50 may apply.

I understand that last minute cancellations may be unavoidable from time to time. Please communicate with me so we can work something out.

Habitual late cancellations and/or no shows (3x) indicates that our therapeutic relationship may not be right for you right now. In these cases, I will provide resources and a referral upon request, but will not be able to offer more sessions.

In-person sessions can be switched to telehealth sessions to suit individuals’ circumstances as they arise (such as a positive COVID-19 test, or the client needing to stay at home for other reasons).

  • I am not contracted with any insurance companies which means that all clients are solely responsible for their bills.

I am happy to provide clients with a superbill if they would like to independently pursue reimbursement for out of network services through their insurance.

If this is something that interests you, I encourage you to contact your insurance company prior to reaching out to me in order to determine what criteria you need to meet and what reimbursement they would offer.

Good Faith Estimate Notice

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services (including psychotherapy services).

You can ask your provider for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
